All the things - mise à jour


It’s been a while since I was regularly posting/ sharing around my fitness journey specifically, but I have been keeping up with it and sharing in this space really does hold me accountable. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ A lot of new and exciting things going on too ( Reiki, my re-building of INVIBE , and my book -more to come on that), amidst a pandemic and R E V O L U T I O N, and so it’s been a time of finding a balance in a new routine and there have more important things to talk about and act on as well - true Black and Indigenous liberation and real systemic change...and I will of course continue with that too. The unlearning, re-learning and talking about things that are not always easy to talk about, and making mistakes sometimes but being willing to - humility is so necessary, always. This is also way beyond agreeing to disagree. This personal work to deconstruct and reconstruct continues and is integral to all areas of my life. The current structures aren’t working for anyone anyway (except maybe the 1%)!⁣ Physically speaking I also had to take a week off from my workouts and only walk for exercise due to a shoulder injury ( let’s just say it was me forgetting that while my mindset is youthful and carefree at times, my body is still 50). I will be more careful in the future lol. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

It feels so good to be back at it again with my workouts. I’m still loving the boxing program- there’s just something empowering about it - but we also have a new program that I’m gonna start soon ( Muscle Burns Fat - it’s a 3 week program... 3 weeks is a good commit-able timeframe too) and I’m keeping up with my vegetarian guilt-free non-restrictive-balanced-everything-in-moderation-nutrition mindset and mind-body-soul connection approach to my self-care and my work as always.⁣ With everything going on in the world I’m having more moments of reflection, of deeper understanding of our connection to one another and the ways in which I can continue to work on myself so that I can help rather than hurt and do my part to make progress towards change for a better world.
